Amazon presents:
Climate Pledge Arena

We worked with Amazon’s Climate Pledge team on the soup-to-nuts production of three shorts celebrating Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena (CPA), the world’s first net-zero carbon stadium.

300 Mile Menu

Chef Molly D, of Climate Pledge Arena, is implementing an ambitious commitment to local food, sourcing 75% of the 17,000-seat arena’s ingredients from within 300 miles of Seattle. We joined Chef on visits to three producers within that radius to produce a 4-minute documentary piece.

Austin Allred converted his family's dairy farm in Royal City, WA into a closed-loop regenerative ranch. Waste from the cattle becomes compost and fertilizer for the soil, which grows more healthy grasses for the cows and row crops for seed and grocery stores. CPA sources all of its beef from the ranch and Chef Molly keeps a horse there.

Matthew and Giana Cioni's Crows Farm grows produce on 15 acres in Washington's Skagit Valley. They work with the Puget Sound Food Hub to connect with buyers like Climate Pledge Arena. Large volume accounts like those with CPA provide security to small growers and allow them to invest more into their farm business.

A lifelong barbecue man, Richard Mullen began tinkering with his own sauces years ago. When he finally landed on something good, he started hawking it at local butcher shops near his Kent, WA home. People liked it and he kept hustling, landing in local grocery stores as Too Good Products. He still makes the sauces and delivers them to CPA where they can be found throughout the arena.

Climate Pledge Arena anthem

Amazon bought the naming rights to the former Key Bank Arena (former home of the Seattle Supersonics) and named it Climate Pledge Arena as a way to showcase the possibility of scaling net-zero carbon to a large scale sports venue. This short anthem video showcases the partnership that brought the world's first net-zero stadium to life.

Day in the Life with Chef Molly D

This short social cut gets into Chef's mindset as she navigates the organized chaos of feeding 17,000 hockey fans in three hours. We used footage shot from the 300 Mile Menu video plus an interview with Molly to create this piece.
